Building a city where people can continue to live safely

Materiality Factor and Background

In Japan, the aging of social infrastructure, the increase in severe natural disasters due to climate change, and the growing possibility of large earthquakes have become significant social issues. Overseas, there are concerns about the increase in natural disasters due to climate change and delays in social infrastructure. By engaging in social infrastructure and disaster prevention/reduction projects, we can contribute to the realization of a safe, secure, and resilient society.

Direction of Initiatives

  • Contribution to social infrastructure facilities (airport facilities, road facilities, port facilities)
  • Addressing the renewal and maintenance of aging infrastructure
  • Contribution to disaster prevention and reduction-related projects (disaster prevention radio, river monitoring)

Response to the advanced information society (Society 5.0)

Materiality Factor and Background

As rapid social changes such as low birthrates, an aging population, and urban concentration continue, we aim to realize Society 5.0 by integrating advanced technologies to balance economic development and the resolution of social issues. Additionally, new work styles, such as workations, will contribute to regional revitalization and enhance the vitality of Japan as a whole.

Direction of Initiatives

  • Infrastructure construction for mobile communication (5G, Local 5G, 6G)
  • Wireless communication construction for smart cities aimed at Society 5.0
  • Autonomous driving solutions through the Public-Private ITS concept (real-time full-line monitoring systems for expressways, autonomous driving Level 4 support, etc.)
  • Utilization of DX to foster collaboration between engineers in Japan and Vietnam (domestic ⇒ overseas construction, overseas ⇒ domestic construction)
  • Wireless communication construction for the use of robots in agriculture, forestry, and other fields
