For class 2 electricians, it is possible to take the exam without worksite experience if one has firmly acquired specialized knowledge. JEA offers a Japanese language proficiency and practical curriculum that goes one step beyond obtaining class 2 electrician certification.
You can move forward with developing a career as an engineer if you obtain class 2 electrician certification after arriving in Japan.

* Actual timing may differ from the above because the certification exam is offered twice a year.

* For Japanese language schools and vocational schools, this may not apply depending on state of international students and desires of companies.
It is not possible to specify a length of time because it depends on matching the person’s desires with company’s demands.
